Elizabeth Ann Fenimore Clendenin

Elizabeth Ann Fenimore Clendenin, a lifelong resident of St. Albans, passed away at the age of 87 on the 10th of February at the Hubbard Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Lib was known for her class and elegance, always dressed up with her golden hair in a bun. Her gifts were many, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Lib was proud to have served on first majorette corps of St. Albans High School and as the first bridal consultant at Kauffman’s Department Store. She was known for her warm smile, her secret family recipes and her ability to talk forever. With her contagious laughter, she made life fun. Lib devoted her entire life to her family and lovingly shared in every activity and milestone. She encouraged charity by instilling a family tradition of Thanksgiving service to the homeless and created many other traditions to be passed down through the generations. Lib believed that guardian angels watched over her family…now she is their special angel. Born August 21, 1930, she was the only daughter of Albert and Anna Fenimore. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ted Clendenin. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Clendenin and Sara Beth Boustany (Michael Boustany); grandchildren Chad Boustany, Ryan Boustany (Kristen Parks), Amanda Fragale (Stephen Fragale), and Ashley Boustany; great grandson Landon Fragale. The family would like to thank their hospice family Amanda, Kristen and Julie for their many vital home visits and the staff at the Hubbard Hospice House for their tender and compassionate care in her final days. As well as a special thank you to caregivers Teresa and Kristen for treating her with love. Family and friends may visit 10:00-12:00 pm, Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm with Reverend Barbara Starling officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Cunningham Memorial Park Mausoleum. A celebration of her life will follow the graveside service at Angela’s on the River in St. Albans.
