Frances Elizabeth Gunnoe

Frances Elizabeth Gunnoe Born July 6, 1954, entered into her Heavenly home May 25, 2023 at 12:40am under Hospice care at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a four month, courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her dad, Adrian Webb, mom, Iris Webb, brother Doug Webb, father-in-law, Arlen Gunnoe, mother-in-law, Joy Gunnoe, and brother-in-law, Darrell Gunnoe. Left to cherish her memory are, her husband of 51 years, Cledith Gunnoe of St. Albans, WV, son Jason (Carah) Gunnoe of Charleston, WV, daughter, Shannon (Kevin) McKnight of Belle, WV, brothers Ray (Linda) Webb of Woodburn, OR, Gary (Donna) Webb of Harvest, AL, Jerry Webb of Whitesville, WV, Rick Webb of Westby, WI and one sister, Cheryl (Philip) Watson of Elkview, WV. Seven grandchildren, Clayton Gunnoe of Tuscon, AZ, TK Walton of Charleston, WV, Faith Bennett of Glascow, WV, Daniel (Katelynn) McKnight of Cedar Grove, WV, Hannah (Levi) Yost of Fairmont, WV, Micah Gunnoe of Charleston, WV and Matthew McKnight of Belle, WV. Six great grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life. Landyn Bennett, Spencer Bennett and Hayden Hill of Glascow, WV, Adaline Gunnoe of Tuscon, AZ, Madilynn McKnight of Cedar Grove, WV and Tabitha Yost of Fairmont, WV along with a host of nieces and nephews. All of whom she loved deeply. Frances never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone she met and showed loved to anyone who needed a word of encouragement. She attended Church of God of Prophecy, Sylvester, WV many years and then later on Church of God of Prophecy in Kanawha City, WV until her longtime pastor, Sue Cook retired. Frances loved the Lord with all of her heart and spoke to many of His love for all of us. “What Cancer Cannot Do” Cancer is so limited… Cancer cannot cripple Love It cannot shatter Hope It cannot corrode Faith It cannot destroy Peace It cannot kill Friendship It cannot suppress Memories It cannot silence Courage It cannot invade the Soul It cannot steal Eternal Life It cannot conquer the Spirit Author Unknown Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3 at 2pm in the mausoleum at Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home of St. Albans, WV has been in charge of her services. Her family would like to express our deep gratitude to the many nurses, doctors, and other staff members at CAMC Memorial Hospital and CAMC Cancer Center who cared for her over the last four months. Along with the many friends and family members who have kept us all in your prayers during this difficult time. And to all who have helped in many ways as we have been trying to navigate this deep loss. We love and thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts. God Bless and keep you.
