Lillian Mae Gross

It is with deep sorrow and much love we mourn the passing of Lillian Mae "Lil" Gross, 88, of St. Albans, WV on July 31, 2024 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston. She was born September 5, 1935 in Whitesville to the late Henry and Edna Porter. She was also preceded in death by her husband and loving companion, David Gross; son, Nathan Brent McNeely; brother, David Elwood Porter; and furry friends, Bart, Sissy and Rocco. Lil was the head accountant with Midway Ford. She was with the Shriners from 1971 to 1999 and was a High Priestess. She loved and adored animals, dancing, attending the Hansford Senior Center, and traveling. She was also a treasurer of the Eastern Star, a member of the Pythian's and a longtime member of Teays Valley Church of God. Lil is survived by her sister, Deborah O'Meara; grandchildren, Nathan McNeely; great-grandchildren, Sabrina McNeely, Cassie McNeely, Ceaira McNeely, Cody McNeely (Marissa Sampson), Kandi McNeely and Katie McNeely; great great grandchildren, Ryan McNeely, Oaklynn McNeely, Adilay Jarrell, Zachariah Jarrell, Zoey Jarrell, Leanna McNeely, and Jaylon McNeely; nieces, Lena Dickerson (Kenneth Dickerson), Erica Davies; nephew, Paul Smith; geat nieces, Cassandra Davies and Savannah Davies; Great nephew, Nickolas Davies; and many extended family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 5, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor David Bowen officiating. The visitation with the family will be Sunday 2-4:00 pm at the funeral home. Our "Tiny Dancer" has taken her last bow in this life, and still carries on her never-ending journey through eternity, dancing in forever. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Shriners Children's Hospital at 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa FL 33607 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
