Ira Alan Borstein, 79, of St. Albans went home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Hubbard Hospice House - West, South Charleston. He was born in Charleston to the late Israel M. and Faye Elderman Borstein. Alan was retired from the State of West Virginia, DEP Division. He is a member of Bethany Baptist Church, St. Albans. He was a graduate of Charleston High School, class of 1960 and also received his bachelor’s degree in business and accounting from Marshall University. Surviving are his loving wife of 30 years, Karen Lee Bowman Borstein; daughter, Jacqueline Dial (Hank); sons, Michael Borstein, Brian Borstein (Kerri); step-daughter, Martha Webb; step-sons, Jason Webb (Amanda) and Ryan Webb (Nicky); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Seth, Parker, Trey, Breanna, Isaiah and Gabby; great grandchildren, Zeke and Elly. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Bethany Baptist Church, St. Albans with Pastor Raymond Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service.
