Keith Byron Larson 1946 - 2024 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Keith, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend. Born on November 28, 1946, in Charleston, WV, he departed from this world on March 16, 2024, while living just down the hill from his childhood home. His departure came as a sudden and peaceful transition. Keith's life was marked by service, education, and camaraderie. After graduating from St. Albans High School in 1964, he pursued higher education at West Virginia University, earning a BA in political science and a minor in history in 1968. His thirst for knowledge led to a Master's degree in public administration, funded by the GI Bill through his service in the US Army. Keith's dedication to his country extended beyond active duty, serving in the Army Reserves for over 20 years, retiring from service in 1995. On May 13, 1984, Keith graduated from WVU Law School, a testament to his determination and intellectual prowess. He leveraged his degree in service to the State of West Virginia, working as an Attorney for the Department of Tax and Revenue until his retirement in 2006. Keith married Elizabeth on November 22, 1975. Though their paths diverged, they shared two sons, Robert and David Larson, who were the light of Keith's life. He cherished moments with his grandchildren, Nate, Skylar, and Ty, residing in Colorado. Keith's legacy extends to his brothers, Larry and Mark, and their families. He leaves an impact on his nephews, John Andrew and Daniel, and niece, Natalie. He also leaves behind special friends Bob and Rebecca Rodak, who took Keith into their family as one of their own. An avid reader and movie buff, Keith possessed a wealth of knowledge, making him a captivating conversationalist. He enjoyed good food and cherished time shared with loved ones. As we bid adieu to a luminary whose light will be forever in our hearts, let us find solace in the cherished memories and timeless wisdom he imparted. May he rest in eternal peace.
