Richard A. "Dick" Miller

October 14, 1933 - April 7, 2022

Richard A. “Dick” Miller, 88, of St. Albans went home to be with the Lord of Thursday, April 7, 2022 with his daughter by his side. He was born in Fayetteville to the late Earl Francis and Elizabeth Love Eckhart Miller. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Phyllis Jean Miller; daughter, Jeanie Lynn Miller; also one sister and two brothers. Dick was a driver and salesman for Capital Beverage. He was a member of the North Charleston Baptist Church, Charleston. He was US Navy veteran having served during the Korean War. He leaves behind his daughters, Judy Miller of Dunbar and Debbie and husband Rodney Thaxton of Charleston; step-son, Terry and wife Janice Hicks of Cinco. His grandchild, whom he loved with all his heart Richie Thaxton and wife Brandi of Charleston; great grandchild, Addi Thaxton. He also leaves behind extended family and friends that knew and loved him. There will be a private service for immediate family Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans with Pastor Dave Carney officiating.
