Richard Stanley Smith

Richard Stanley Smith, 66, of Charleston, WV passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Hubbard Hospice House-West, South Charleston, WV. He was born in Charleston to the late Stanley and Margie Edwards Smith. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Rev. John Lawrence Smith. In his earlier days he worked for Kauffman Department Store, Charleston. He was a graduate of Nitro High School, class of 1974 and a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Nitro. Surviving are his wife, Robin Smith; son, Richard Stanley Smith, II; daughter, Laura Hunt; sister, Helen Harman of Luray, VA and twin sister, Rebecca Jordan of Beaverton, Oregon. Also surviving are 7 nieces and nephews, 5 great nieces and nephews. Richard remains will be interred at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. No funeral services will be held.
