Vashti Jane Hardin

Vashti Jane Hardin, 83 of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at her residence. She was born in South Charleston to the late Ernest and Elizabeth Turner Poff. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. “Joe” Hardin; sisters, Betty Hardin, Ernestine “Sis” Williams; and brother, Howard Poff. She worked for a short time as an operator for Bell Telephone until staying home and being a homemaker. She loved her family, and her church family at St Peter United Methodist Church. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Coleman Hardin of Red House, Les Hardin (Tricia) of Cleveland NC, Kent Hardin (Vikki) of St. Albans, and Joel Hardin (Anita) of Wheeling; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and personal caregivers, Nancy Holton, Pricy Boling and Chrissy Craigo. A funeral service for Vashti and Joseph will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, 13, 2021 at the Lower Mausoleum Chapel at Cunningham Memorial Park, Saint Albans, with Pastor Kara Rowe officiating.
