Carolyn Sue Lovejoy

Carolyn Sue Lovejoy, 79, of St. Albans West Virgina passed away on October 25, 2024. Carolyn was a wonderful wife, mother, maw maw, and friend to everyone who knew her. She loved the bible, church, bingo, and hillbilly rummy. Carolyn cherished spending time with her family and friends. She was a pillar of strength for her family, and a guiding light for all. Her loved ones have comfort in knowing she is now at peace with her beloved lord and savior Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her memory and the love that she shared for her loved ones will always be remembered. Carolyns unwavering love, friendship and kindness has left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Carolyn was born in Nitro WV, to the late Cleo W. and Ema F. Sanson Tolbert. She was preceded in death by her siblings James, Cleo, Wanda, and Cynthia; Grandson Denver Scott Lovejoy, and great grandson London Miles Wade. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Gary Denver Lovejoy; Children Rebecca Neeley (Mark) of Greeneville TN, Gary Denver Lovejoy Jr. (Amanda Renee) of Leon WV, Lisa Barnette (Craig) of Lexington KY, Janie Wade (Famous Fortson) of St. Albans WV Sisters Paulina, Bonnie, Mary, and Sandra; Brothers Edward and Ronald Grandchildren Marcy Williamson (Andrew) of Greeneville TN, Hayley Neeley (Ken Holton) of Pembroke Pines FL, Ashli Slack (Adam) of Point Pleasant WV, Abigail Parsons (Luke) of Leon WV, Brandon Wade of St. Albans WV, Lindsey Wade (Trey Toler) of St. Albans WV, Dylan Wade of St. Albans WV, Paris Wade of St. Albans WV. Great grandchildren Khloe and Connor Williamson, Clea Holton, Levi Payne, Mya Slack, Hadley & Madeline Parsons. Carolyn attended Culloden Family Church of God with Pastor Robert Osbourne. Special thank you to CAMC Hospital of Teays Valley WV, Doctors, Nurses and staff for all their care and kindness. Thank you sincerely to Craig Barnette for the music to be performed at her services. Funeral service will be at 6:00 pm Friday, November 1, 2024 at Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home, St. Albans WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
